Eligibility Criteria for SBI Engagement of Retired Bank Officers on Contract Basis

1. Age Limit:

  • The maximum age limit is 65 years.
  • No relaxation in the upper age limit is available for reserved category candidates.

2. Experience:

  • Applicants must be retired officers of SBI or its erstwhile Associate Banks (e-ABs).
  • Preference is given to ex-officers with experience in operational assignments or in audit/compliance-related areas during their tenure in the bank.

3. Educational Qualifications:

  • No specific educational qualifications are required since the applicants are retired officers.

4. Health and Conduct:

  • Candidates should have good health and a satisfactory track record.
  • They should not have undergone any punishment in disciplinary action by the bank in the five years preceding their retirement.
  • No pending cases by CBI or other law enforcement agencies should exist against the candidate at the time of application.

5. Contract Period:

  • The contract period is a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years or until the officer/employee attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.

6. Selection Process:

  • The selection process consists of shortlisting and an interview.
