Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB Office Assistant
1. Nationality/Citizenship:
A candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan.
Tibetan refugees who came over to India before January 1, 1962, intending to permanently settle in India.
Persons of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
2. Age Limit:
The minimum age limit is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 28 years. Candidates should not have been born earlier than June 2, 1996, and later than June 1, 2006 (both dates inclusive).
Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per the government norms:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
PWD: 10 years
Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in the defense forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years.
Widows, Divorced women, and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried: 9 years
3. Educational Qualification:
A candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent.
Proficiency in the local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s.
Desirable: Working knowledge of computers.
4. Language Proficiency:
Proficiency in the local language of the RRB is mandatory. Candidates must have studied the local language at least up to the 10th standard as one of the subjects.
5. Other Requirements:
Candidates must meet the medical standards as laid down by the participating RRB.
The candidate should not have a criminal record. If there is any, it should be duly declared and will be taken into consideration.

The selection process involves two stages:

Main Examination
7. Document Verification:
Candidates must produce the required documents such as educational certificates, age proof, caste certificates (if applicable), and other necessary documents during the verification process.
