UCO Bank, a leading public sector bank in India, is inviting applications for the position of chief risk officer (CRO). The CRO will play a crucial role in managing and mitigating risks within the bank.

Educational Qualifications:
- Mandatory Education Qualification:

- Graduation degree
- Professional certification in Financial Risk Management from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) or
- Professional Risk Management Certification from the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA) Institute

- Desirable Education Qualification (Choose one):

- Holder of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter awarded by CFA Institute or
- Designated as a Chartered Accountant by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or equivalent abroad or
- Designated as a Cost and Management Accountant by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) or equivalent abroad

Nationality:
- The candidate must be one of the following:

- A Citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- A subject of Bhutan
- A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia), or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

- Candidates falling under categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) above must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
- If a certificate of eligibility is required, the candidate may participate in the examination, group discussions, or interviews conducted by the Bank. However, the final offer of appointment will be given only after submitting the necessary eligibility certificate to the Bank.
Experience:
- Mandatory Experience:

- At least five years of experience in corporate credit and risk management at the level of Assistant General Manager or above in one or more Public Sector Banks (PSBs) or similar roles in regulated lending entities.
- Minimum one year of experience in corporate credit and one year in risk management.

- Desirable Experience:
-
- Good understanding of market risk, liquidity management, and/or operational risk.
- Exposure to analytics is an added advantage.

Term:
- The appointment is purely on a contract basis for three years.
- This appointment does not guarantee regular or permanent absorption in the institute.
- Renewal or termination of the contract will be based on satisfactory performance and conduct.
- Successful completion of the initial three-year term may lead to a further extension of up to two years (one year at a time) based on performance.
