Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination consists of two objective-type papers:

Paper I: General Studies I

History of India and Jharkhand:

Indian Polity and Governance:

    • Constitution of India.
    • Political system and governance structures.

Geography of India and Jharkhand:

General Mental Ability:

Main Examination

The Main Examination consists of six papers:

Paper I: General Hindi and General English

General Hindi:

    • Hindi Grammar: Nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, etc.
    • Translation from English to Hindi.

General English:

    • Essay Writing in English.
    • English Grammar: Tenses, prepositions, articles, etc.

Interview/Personality Test

The interview assesses the candidate’s personality, mental alertness, critical powers of assimilation, clear and logical exposition, balance of judgment, variety, and depth of interest, leadership qualities, and intellectual and moral integrity.
